On June 18, the “Global Civilization Initiative International Youth Forum,” a key event of the 2026 International Young Leaders Exchange Program, was held in Yichang.

　　The forum brought together youth organization leaders and outstanding youth representatives from 10 countries, including the United States and Brazil. Wang Linyi, a representative of China Three Gorges Corporation, delivered a keynote speech, sharing Yichang’s practices in prioritizing ecological conservation, pursuing technological innovation, and implementing systematic governance in the protection of the Yangtze River. He also called on young people from all countries to be diligent learners, down-to-earth practitioners and active facilitators of cross-cultural communication.

　　During the youth dialogue session, representatives from China, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries engaged in a cross-national discussion centered on “Water Civilization and Ecological Protection,” covering topics such as ecological conservation, technological innovation, and the development of diversified water supply systems.
