From June 25 to 27, the 2026 Hubei culture and tourism promotion activities for northwest China were held in Lanzhou and Xi’an. The Yichang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, together with 12 key culture and tourism enterprises, participated throughout the event, seizing the opportunity presented by the upcoming opening of the Xi’an-Shiyan High-Speed Railwayto expand its reach in the northwest tourism market.

　　The Xi’an-Shiyan High-Speed Railwayis set to open soon, and Yichangbei Railway Stationwill add new direct high-speed train services to Xi’an, with a travel time of just over four hours. At the promotion activities, Hubei unveiled 65 featured travel routes, with Yichangpositioned as a core hub. During the activities, flash mobs and road shows attracted over 15,000 viewers, while performances featuring Zhaojun-themed song and dance and Qu Yuanpoem recitations showcased the charm of Jingchu culture. A number of travel agencies signed cooperation agreements on tourist exchange, and the Yichang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourismsigned a letter of intent for cooperationwith Gansu Poly Cultural Tourism Group, signaling substantial progress in cultural tourism collaboration between the two regions.
