It was reported on July 8 that the project “Research, Development and Application of Key Technologies for High-Content Phosphogypsum Hydraulic Cementitious Materials,” led by Hubei Changyao New Materials Co Ltd, won the first prize for scientific and technological progress from the China Concrete & Cement-based Products Association (CCPA). This is the first time the company has received the industry’s top honor, signifying that it has reached a nationally leading level in the development and application of phosphogypsum.

　　Since 2012, the company has achieved multiple original scientific and technological outcomes, with 11 new technologies receiving national invention patents. In recent years, the company has used phosphogypsum as its primary raw material to research, develop, and produce over 20 kinds of phosphogypsum-based products, including curbstones and lightweight aggregates, effectively realizing the resource utilization of industrial solid waste. At present, the company’s phosphogypsum products are widely used in various infrastructure projects such as municipal engineering and road construction, and the relevant business segment generates an annual output value of nearly 100 million yuan.
