On July 8, the production workshop of Yichang Pearl Steel Ball Co Ltd was busy fulfilling orders bound for Japan.

　　Yichang Pearl Steel Ball Co Ltd founded in 1992 is one of the earliest Taiwan-invested enterprises in Yichang. Specializing in the research, development and production of precision steel balls, the company manufactures products ranging from 1.588 to 40 millimeters in diameter, which are widely used in aviation, transportation, hardware and consumer electronics. Currently, the company holds 62 independent patents, and 70% of its products are exported to more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Japan and Singapore.

　　In recent years, the company has constantly pursued technological upgrading, introducing intelligent equipment such as CNC high-speed cold heading machines, achieving a steel ball qualification rate of 99%. In 2025, the company generated an output value of 30 million yuan and export earnings of US$2.6 million. In the first half of this year, its order value has already reached 16 million yuan. Looking ahead, the company plans to take full advantage of its established overseas sales channels to help more Yichang-made products expand into international markets.
