Next to the Moji Hill, the project cross the Yangtze River is the Yiling Yangtze Bridge. Invested about RMB 610 million Yuan, this bridge started construction on November 28, 1998. It’s about 3246m in length including 936m main bridge, and 23 m in width. It’s the only three inversed Y-shape tower-stand concrete side-pulled bridge across the Yangtze River. The span is the longest among the same kinds in the world. More than 20 new technologies, new materials, and new technics have been successfully applied in this project. In 2001, it was completed and opened to traffic. And now, there are 4 large bridges crossing the Yangtze River in Yichang: the Zhijiang Railway Bridge, the Yichang Yangtze Highway Bridge, the Yiling Yangtze Bridge and the Xiling Yangtze Bridge.
