With the approval of the provincial government of Hubei, the new Wujiadistrict toll station on the Three Gorges Expressway will be officially put into operation from zero o'clock on October 1, 2019, while the original Yichang mainline toll station and Wujiadistrict ramp toll station will be closed simultaneously to stop charging.

　　About 5km away from the old station, new Wujiadistrict toll stationis located at K5+460 of Three Gorges Expressway, whose toll booth adopts the implication of the “Five Fortunes” like the Three Gorges dwelling houses. There are 23 lanes with 7 entries and 16 exits (among them, 4 entries and 12 exits are ETC lanes), so it becomes a toll station with the largest traffic flow, the strongest traffic capacity and the largest ETC lanes in Hubei province.

　　The Three Gorges Expressway west of the new toll station will become the urban expressway. Vehicles entering and leaving the expressway can pass through the former Yichang toll station and Wujiadistricttoll station free of charge. In the future, the interconnection of the Three Gorges Expressway and the urban longitudinal expressway will accelerate the network structure along the Yangtze River and expandingtowardsthe vertical direction.
