During the May Day holiday, the construction site of Yichang-Baiyang Yangtze River Highway Bridge is ahiveof activity. Constructors gave up the holiday to accelerate the construction and make sure the project can be open to traffic within the year. With an overall length of 15.679 kilometers, Baiyang Yangtze River Highway Bridge is the controlling project of the Yichang－Zhangjiajie section of theHohhot－Beihai Expressway. The main bridge is a suspension bridge spanning 1,000 metersand the designed speed is100 kilometers per hour.
