The skiing ceremony debut of the 2020-2021 Snow Season and the National Ice and Snow Season (Wufeng Station) opened at the Wufeng International Ski Resort on December 6，with more than 2,000 skiers enjoying the exhilaration brought by ice and snow sports.

Located in the Bei Fengya Forest Areaof Wufeng Wantan Town, the Wufeng International Ski Resort, the largest and multifunctionalski resort in central China,is a comprehensive large-scale sports tourism project integrating skiing, sightseeing, catering, reception, conference and accommodation.
Early on the morning of December 5, the International Ski Resort in Wufeng welcomed the first group of visitors. Before the magic carpet was launched, many skiers lined up at the entrance. Some came with clubs, otherswithfriends, or even with their whole family.
According to reports, the ski resort covers a total area of 570,000 square meters, with a total snow-making area of 235,000 square meters, and the highest altitude of the ski resort is 2129 meters, with 16 would-be primary, intermediate and advanced slopes and a total length of 7 kilometers. At present, there are 6 snow slopes (1 intermediate, 3 slopes and 2 practice slopes) and a 12,000 square meter snow playground areaaccessible to visitors. At the same time, there are the resort is equipped withmore than 2,000 sets of double skis and 800 sets of men’s and women’s snow suits, together with other equipment such as snow circles, sleds, snow bumper cars, children’s snow vehicles, air models and snowmobiles to experience the “speed and passion”. The whole venue can accommodate 5000 people at the same time, fully satisfying the needs of visitors of different skiing levels.
In order to allow tourists fully enjoy the fun of ice and snow sports, the ski resort’s 13 snow-blowers and snow-making equipment have been in full operation since late November, fully guaranteeing the snow quality of the ski resort and pressing snow to make it in time, ” said Shu Cheng, general manager of Wufeng International Ski Resort. As early as 2019, Wufeng International Ski Resort invested 50 billion yuan to build a genting hotelwith an overall style of wild luxury wooden houses and containers. The hotel boasts a total of 69 rooms and suites, which can accommodate 150 people at the same time, allowing visitors to enjoy the fun of skiing while also experiencingecological jungle-style holiday.

1. Make sure that your skiing facilities are professional. As for ski suits, you’d better choose a loose jumper one in bright color which is totally contrast with the snow surface. For one thing, it can help your arm move freely; for another, others can spot you easily to avoid collisions.Enclosed protective glasses are needed for protecting your eyes from hurt by the strong sunlight reflection and cold wind.
2. Takenecessary protective measures. Skis and ski poles should be checked, and oily and UV-resistant skin care products should be used; Keep warm on your hands, feet, ears, and other parts that are prone to frostbite. If necessary, you can bring high-energy portable food .
3. Take a closer look at the height, slope, length, width, and surrounding conditions of the slope if it’s your first arrival.You are supposed to choose a suitable track based on your ski level. The location of the ski resort facilities on the map and the rescued situation should be kept in mind, and the safety management regulations of the ski resort should be observed. Notice the opening time of ropeways. You can take the ropeway only if the staff are on duty.
4. As a beginner, you should practice step by step and do what you can. Follow the arrangement and direction of coaches and ski staff while you are training. To avoid some unexpected risks, don’t enterthe high-level areas unless you are qualified enough.
