At the construction site of the first phase of the East Lake High-Tech Yichang Innovation and Intelligence Base, the workers and equipment were presenting a busy and bustling scene on July 16. According to the manager of the project, the first phase of the project comprises three buildings, numbered 4#, 5#, and 6#, with a total construction area of 16,000 square meters. It is anticipated that the first phase will be ready for use by December, and currently, 70% of the construction has been completed. The base will focus on smart manufacturing, electronic information, life sciences and healthcare, and related industries as its core sectors, with the aim of introducing advanced equipment manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, medical devices, new urban industries, and other relevant high-tech industries. The goal of the base is to facilitate the formation of an upstream and downstream high-end industrial cluster, creating a smart technology-themed industrial park.
