On April 17, ships were waitingto pass through the ship locks at the Yangtze River Three Gorges Navigation Comprehensive Service Area.
The Yangtze River Three Gorges Navigation Comprehensive Service Area, the first multi-functional service area on the Yangtze River, was officially put into operation on April 16, 2019. Over the past six years, the service area has connected 24,000 ships to shore power, with electricity supplied exceeding 41 million kWh and reducing emissions by more than 30,000 tons.
Addressing the problem of anchoring in the middle of the river, an intelligent “ship power bank” was independently developed, with modular design adapted to various types of ships. The power bank has served nearly 100 ships in eight shipping companies. Convenience services for crew members have been upgraded with the establishment of a health center, a 24-hour unmanned supermarket, and intelligent parcel lockers. 50 special services of8 major categories are provided, benefiting 150,000 ship visits.
