Decoration and greening work was underway in the waiting hall and the square in front of Yichangbei Railway Station in Longquan Town, Yiling District on June 23. Workers were accelerating the final construction phase to ensure the station’s opening within this year.

　　Yichangbei Railway Station is a key stop on the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-Speed Railway, part of China’s national “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” High-speed Rail Network. The station features 9 platforms and 20 tracks, with its waiting hall offering nearly 40,000 square meters of effective waiting area.
