2025-08-08 10:00:00

At around 9:00 am on August 6, a “Yichang-Huaihua-Qinzhou Port” rail-sea intermodal train loaded with local chemical products departed from Yichangdong Railway Station, bound for Pasir Gudang Port in Malaysia. By the end of July, Yichang had shipped a total of 1,826 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) of foreign trade goods via the New Land-Sea Corridor, marking a 57% year-on-year increase; and over the past three years, the total volume has reached 4,539 TEUs. The operational routes now cover the major railway stations such as Yichangdong Railway Station, Zhijiang Railway Station and Zhicheng Railway Station in Yichang and the hubs in Huaihua City, Hunan Province, as well as several key waterway ports including Zhicheng Port and Baiyang Port in Yichang.

On the same day, the New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Co Ltd (headquartered in Chongqing) as well as its Hunan branch and Hubei branch jointly held the strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone. The three parties agreed to collaborate in building the corridor’s main network, sharing overseas service resources, leveraging policy advantages and stepping up digitalization efforts, aiming to further integrate Yichang into the coordinated regional development of Chongqing, Hunan and Hubei.
