The rice of the Dryland-to-Paddy Conversion Project in Huayuan Village, Mingfeng Town, Yuan’an County, has entered its harvest season. The once contiguous dry land has been transformed into high-yield rice paddies.

　　Theprojecthasbeenimplemented on an area of 192 mu(12.8 hectares), with contiguous transferable land totaling over 300 mu (20 hectares). The yield per mu (0.667 hectares) has exceeded 500kg. Huayuan Village has also introduced large-scale operators who rented land at a standard of 500 yuan per mu, ensuring direct income for farmers. (Correspondent/Cao Xing)
