The prefabrication of the concrete box girders for the north-bank side span of the Zhijiang Yangtze River Bridge was completed on September 15, marking the project’s full shift to the superstructure assembly and cable installation phase.
The main bridge is 1,549 meters long with a main span of 890 meters, making it the world’s longest-span steel-UHPC composite cable-stayed bridge currently under construction. (Reporters/Fu Jiangshan and Liu Kun, Correspondents/Li Qin and Feng Xinyi)
