Wuhan-Yichang section of Yangtze River High-Speed Railway opens

  At 9:50 a.m. on December 26, train G6800 departed from Yichangbei Railway Station, marking the official opening of the Wuhan-Yichang section of the Yangtze River High-Speed Railway.

  Spanning 314 kilometers, the Wuhan-Yichang section is designed for a top speed of 350 km/h and forms a key part of the Yangtze River corridor under China’s national “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed rail network. The line serves eight stations, including Hankou, Hanchuanbei, Tianmen, Jingshannan, Zhongxiangnan, Jingmenxi, Dangyangxi and Yichangbei railway stations.
