During the Spring Festival period, Yichang rolled out a variety of exciting events in its parks, which attracted over a million visitors. Highlights included flower exhibitions at Binjiang Park and Juanqiao River Wetland Park, a New Year lantern display at Children’s Park, and a tulip festival at Qiuyutai Park. At Baimashan National Defense Education Park and Chengdong Park, red plum blossoms marked the arrival of spring. Urban parks hosted traditional activities like guessing lantern riddles, writing Spring Festival couplets and crafting. Meanwhile, Zigui’s Muyu Island offered sports events, and Changyang Yintan Park’s vast sandy areas and extreme skateboarding zone drew huge crowds. The Xiling temple fair and Guomao (International Trading) Building Square lantern show, featuring Hanfu parades and markets for intangible cultural heritage, also attracted crowds of natives and visitors. The blend of flower displays with cultural and tourism activities gave a strong boost to the city’s Spring Festival economy.
