　　Yichang has been stepping up efforts to promote digital and intelligent transformation among enterprises, encouraging leading companies to advance manufacturing transformation and upgrading through micro-level innovations.

　　The intelligent phosphate chemical warehousing system of Hubei Yihua Group Co Ltd has achieved fully automated operations from packaging to loading, significantly boosting production efficiency and reducing labor costs. Meanwhile, Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co Ltd has integrated artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies to build a smart factory for controlled narcotic and psychotropic medicines, shortening research and development cycles and improving productivity.

　　To advance enterprise digital transformation, Yichang has built 15,000 5G base stations, appointed “digital vice presidents” to assist more than 300 companies, and established a phosphate chemical supply chain platform. The platform has helped improve supply chain efficiency at Angel Yeast Group by 30 percent. Progress is also being made at Yaojiagang Chemical Industrial Park, the “Three Gorges Citrus Industry Brain” project in Zigui, and Xiaoting Synthetic Biology Industrial Park. Last year, Yichang invested 47.7 billion yuan in its industrial technological upgrading, and 122 small and medium-sized enterprises completed digital transformation.
