On April 6, cargo vessels carrying supplies navigate the Yichang section of the Yangtze River.

　　From January to March this year, ports in Yichang recorded a cargo throughput of 8.5187 million metric tons, a natural tonnage handled of 7.7249 million metric tons, a container throughput of 77,686 TEUs, and arail-water intermodal container throughput of 10,408 TEUs, representing year-on-year increases of 3.06%, 6.07%, 14.37% and 1.77% respectively.
