On May 30, the Yichang Dragon Boat League, part ofNational Dragon Boat Event, kicked offin the Qianwan waters near the Three Gorges Cruise Center.A total of 14 teams from across Yichang competed in the 200-meter and 500-meter straight races. The Yiling District team claimed first place in the 200-meter race and second place in the 500-meter race. A “recreational experience category”was also set up for nativesand tourists, with 12 teams immersing themselves in the unique charm of dragon boat racing. An intangible cultural heritage market was held alongside the races, featuring Yiling woodblock prints, handmade sachets and Yichang cold rice jelly, drawing large crowds.
