On June 10, Hubei’s first 25-meter all-electric sightseeing vessel was launched at the Yidu Zhongnan Pengli Green Intelligent Ship Industrial Park. The 80-seat vessel, powered entirely by electricity, has moved from a traditional custom‑built “one‑project, one‑design” approach to standardized, mass production.

　　Compared with thepreviouscustomizedproductionmode, the standardized model lowers the selling price by about one‑third, halves the shipbuilding cycle, and reduces maintenance costs by approximately 40 percent.

　　Hubei Zhongnan Pengli Marine Sounding System Engineering Co Ltd, originally a marine radar company, has now shifted into the new-energy vessel sector. The launch of this standard vessel marks a key step for Yidu’s shipbuilding industry to evolve fromproject-orientedmanufacturingtoproduct-orientedmassproduction, injecting fresh momentum into green shipping on the Yangtze River.
