On July 28, farmers in Chenjiawan Village, Xietan Township, Zigui County, were busy picking and transporting summer navel oranges. At the peak of summer, the orchards in Zigui County, the hometown of Qu Yuan, are heavy with fruit, presenting a vibrant scene against the backdrop of the gorges landscape.

　　Currently, Zigui County’s annual citrus production exceeds one million metric tons, with a comprehensive output value of nearly 25 billion yuan, benefiting more than 200,000 people through increased incomes. At the same time, the county has developed sightseeing corridors, pastoral mini-trains and other facilities, as well as distinctive cultural and creative products, based on its orange orchards.
