On July 27, the insulin glargine injection independently developed and produced by Yichang HEC Changjiang Pharmaceutical Co Ltd was shipped to the United States for the first time. The product received FDA approval for marketing in the U.S. in late April this year, making it the first Chinese insulin product to enter the U.S. market and marking a significant breakthrough in the overseas expansion of domestically produced insulin.

　　The first planned shipment consists of 1.152 million units of insulin glargine injection, which will be sent in multiple batches, with all shipments expected to be completed by midAugust. To date, HEC Changjiang Pharmaceutical has secured orders for at least 18 million units from its U.S. partner, with delivery scheduled to be completed within 18 months.
