A large-scale dance drama named Seven Fairies in Chashan was given a performance on the May Day Theater yesterday, which was organized by the Wufeng Song and Dance Drama Troupes. The drama told us a story that happened in the beginning of the Second World War. In the autumn of 1935, a marshal called He Long led The Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants in the third Army and left the edge base of Hunan and Hubei province. Before he left he named Cuigu’s young daughter Chahua. Cuigu was a lady in the same village who came to send the army off. 20 years later, Chahua became a tea-picking expert. She practiced hard in improving tea-pick technology with 6 other girls. They were encouraged by Chairman Mao who wrote them a letter. After that, He Long met with Cuigu and Chahua in the Great Hall of the People and sent a plaque titled Seven Fairies of Chashan. (Correspondent, Wuyan, Picture by Chen Yanying)
