On July 22nd, Chinese and foreign tourists are playing with water guns and enjoying themselves in the cool and refreshing weather condition there in the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the opening of Zigui Jiuwanxi Drift and Jiuwanxi Carnival.

　　Ever since the opening of the drift more than 20 years ago, Zigui Jiuwanxi Drifting Company has been hiring 95% of its staff from the local villagers and letting the local people operate all those secondary consumption projects within the scenic area in order to help them to get rid of poverty and live a better life. This year, the company has invested more than two million yuan to build more than one hundred standard stalls along the stream and recruits those poor locals to do business. Solely depending on the benefits from the tourism, thousands of villagers in the four villages within the scenic spot have succeeded in shaking off poverty and become better off.(Reporter and Photographer: Li Feng)
