The new school area of No.1 Senior High School in Yichang started to be constructed in August 2015. Its construction adopted many advanced concepts, like “the sponge city”, achieved the goals of “no need to open an umbrella in the schoolyard”, “the playground that can ‘drink water’”, “hot water without the consumption of electricity”. And it won “the central demonstration project of provincial green buildings” as well as various honors.
