On the afternoon of April 9th, a male wild macaque was playing in the riverside of Xialaoxi Scenic Area in Yichang City.

　　Not afraid of people, the “Monkey Brother” is still sitting on the treetops when he sees passers-by. He sometimes looks up and stares forward while sometimes looking down and eating fruit. Anyway, he looks so cute.

　　Wild Macaques are the second-class protected animals and rarely appear in crowed places. In recent years, the ecological environment of Xialaoxi has been continuously optimized. In particular, the comprehensive management project of Xialaoxi in 2016 had a great effect on the comprehensive treatment of the 11.3 km river channel from the Nanjinguan Grand Canyon to the Xialaoxi Bridge, which has restored the water ecological environment in this area.
