It is learned from the Construction Promotion Office in Yichang New District that the No.2 Xiling Road express way, which will be fully completed in October, will start trial operation. And the citizens can enjoy the convenience of this express way in advance. At the same time, in order to assure the students’ traffic safety after the start of Yiling Middle School, Heyi Road went intotrial operation yesterday. 

　　From the Yanjiang Road in the west to the Xiazhou Road in the east, No.2 Xiling Road express way is an important part of the “Three Vertical and Five Horizontal” express way grid of the city, with a total length of 7.5 kilometers. According to the person in charge of the project construction unit, at present, the progress of the entire project of No.2 Xiling Road has reached 97%, among which the section from Yanjiang Road to Tiyuchang Road has been basically completed; the main part of the underground passage from the Tiyuchang Road to Daxue Road is completed, and then it is being renovated; the asphalt pavement from the Daxue Road to the Three Gorges expressway is coming to an end; the section from Three Gorges expressway to the Xiazhou Road has been completed.

　　It is known that the No.2 Xiling Road express way will be fully completed in October. After the trial operation, the finishing work of road surface blackening, traffic greening, street lighting, and sidewalk paving in some parts of the road section will be carried out. During the construction insertion, medium and heavy trucks are not allowed to pass. The construction of some sections of the road must be carried out with traffic guidance or necessary traffic control. Besides, passing vehicles should pay attention to traffic signs, to avoid speeding (speed limit of 30km/h during trial operation), illegal parking and other traffic offence.

　　Started from expressway and ended in Xiazhou Road, Heyi Road is connected with the Heyi Road in the past, with design length of 3118.755 meters. As the main passageway and supporting project of Yiling Middle School, Heyi Road can greatly relieve the traffic pressure of Chengdong Road and Zhongnan Road after its completion. In order to facilitate the students’ traffic after the start of Yiling Middle School, all parties involved in the construction work together to speed up project construction.
