On September 7, the reception volume of the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area officially broke through the two million mark this year.This achievement was one month ahead of the same period last year, setting the fastest record in history.

　　As of September 6, the total number of tourists in the Three Gorges Dam Tourist Area was 1.995 million, and 86.74% of 2.3 million people in the annual task were completed, increasing 334 thousand people compared with the same period last year, with an increase of 20%.Since this year, the number of land way group tourists has increased significantly, with the monthly increases of more than 50% compared with the same period last year; the number of days with the daily reception volume of more than 10,000 people went as high as 81 days, setting the best level in the history of the same period.

　　Since this year, the scenic spot center has adhered to the management philosophy of “strengthening safety awareness, improving safety attainment” and comprehensively strengthened quality and safety management, organizing 16 various safety and quality checks and implementing 21 corrections of potential safety hazard in total.At present, the scenic spot has gradually completed the leisure facilities project, the green space restoration of Tanziling, the reconstruction of rest area under woods, the upgrading and reconstruction of park monitoring system, the reconstruction of model room, the lighting and sound reconstruction of Interception Memorial Garden, and the centralized renovation project of tourist center stalls.Besides, the plannings and designs of 185 Viewing Platform Park as well as Interception Memorial Garden are also progressing steadily. Tourist reception and service facilities are also constantly improving.
