The canals in autumn are greener than usual. The canal park spans about 30.5 km across Yiling District, Xiling District, Gaoxin District and Wujiagang District. The length of the canal in Yiling District is 18.6 km, 2.6 km in Xiling District, 8.3 km in Xiling District and Gaoxin District and 1 km in Wujiagang District. In recent years, Yichang city has invested 1.05 billion Yuan to build leisure green roads and ecological landscape corridors by taking a number of measures including the implementation of environmental renovation, sewage interception treatment, flood discharge and pollution interception comprehensive treatment, river regulation and reinforcement, urban consolidation along the river, landscape greening and upgrading.
