It is reported that the waiting hall of Yichang East Railway Station can accommodate up to 5,000 people at its busiest time. After the renovation, the peak capacity will reach 12,500, and will be put into operation before the first day of the Spring Festival on January 21, 2019 to ensure efficient and orderly travel of passengers during the Spring Festival.
