On January 1, 2019, at the West Square of Yichangdong Railway Station, the workers were busy with the construction ofa large ecological and stereoscopic parking lot as will be put into use before May Day.

　　Asa priority project of municipal construction, the parking lot at the west side of Yichangdong Railway Station Square is a stereoscopic 5-floored building with 2 basement floors and 3 ground floors.At present, the basement construction and building of ground-floor concrete framework are being carried out as planned.

　　The west corner of the railway station reserved for the parking lot is now fully occupied, far beyond the present demand of vehicle parking at the railway station. Li lei, a manager of Yichang Urban Construction Investment Holding Group says, “In total 1,025 parking places are planned for the parking lot building, which is expected to be put into use before the May Day vacation period, and the completion of the project will be a solution to the problem of parking at Yichangdong Railway Station”.
