
June 6 is the national “Fish Releasing Day”. On the day, the Yichang Chinese Sturgeon Nature Reserve held its 44th releasing for multiplication activity since its establishment in 1996. More than 100 environmental protection volunteers released about 34.5 million fishes of 6 types including Chinese sturgeon, mullet, silver carp, bighead carp, grass carp, bream into the Yangtze river, and the release volume was the largest ever over the years.
