On July 28, the fluctuation zone of Tongzhuang River Basin in Zigui County, the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of the Yangtze River, had a verdant area, becoming a “green fence” to prevent waves from fixation of sand. In order to overcome the worldwide problem of riverbank fluctuation zone, Zigui County, in cooperation with Wuhan Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, adopted slope protection methods such as tree planting, grass planting and green planting to carry out ecological restoration in the bank line of 55km of Tongzhuang River reservoir area, and achieved initial results.
