On September 27, 10 ambulances were organized by Yichang Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital to transfer patients.
On September 27, the arrival of the last ambulance at the new hospital indicated that Yichang Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital smoothly finished the entire relocation. 65 inpatients were transferred and settled in the new hospital. The new hospital was put into full operation since 8 a.m. on the28this month.
In order to ensure the safety of inpatients during the relocation process, the hospital formulated detailed plans and emergency plans and organized severaltraining and emergency drills before the transfer. In addition, each transfer ambulance was staffedwith an experienced doctor and personalized transfer planswere developed and implemented by medical staff of corresponding departments.
At 8:30 a.m.on the 27, 10 ambulances stopped in orderat designated points on roadside at the entrance of the Municipal Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital. Patients of neonatology, obstetrics, pediatrics, gynecology, and family planningwere escorted to the vehicles by hospital staff. At 9 a.m., the 10 ambulances lined up and set off as scheduled. They drove along Yiling Avenue, No.3 Shengli Road, Chengdong Avenue and finally arrivedat the new hospital. At 9:33a.m., the first batch of inpatients wassafely transferred to the new hospital.Medical staff lined up to express their warm welcome atthe entrance of the inpatient departmentand patients with mobilityproblems were provided with wheelchairs, flatcars and other services.
It is learntthat the transfer of the 65 inpatients from the old hospital was completed in batches. The arrival of the last patient atthe new hospitalindicated thesuccessful transfer of all patients. The overall relocation of the Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital was completedwithout any emergencies
The operation of the new hospital site will provide broader space forthe hospital’s development and more comprehensive and high-quality diagnosis and treatment servicesfor Yichang citizens.
