On November 5th, villagers in Group 6 of Miaoya Village, Guojiaba Town, Zigui County processed Chinese medicinal gardeniain the workshop. At present, more than 6000 acres of gardeniaplanted in Zigui County has entered the mature harvest period, and local villagers are busy picking, transporting and selling in the fields.

　　In recent years, the county has vigorously developed more than 40,000 mu of Chinese medicinal materials such asgardenia, atractylodes, angelica, bupleurum, rhubarb, etc. in the middle and high mountain areas, which not only reduced soil erosion in the Three Gorges reservoir area, protected the ecological environment, but also providedan important channel for the farmers in the middle and high mountain areas alleviate povertyandincreaserevenue .
