On March 22, the Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone was officially closed for operation, and 20 new projects were signed on the spot. It is expected that the import and export volume will increase by US$1.8 billion after the production capacity is reached, and a memorandum of cooperation has been signed with 10 supporting service companies. Zhang Jiasheng, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, announced that "Yichang Comprehensive Bonded Zone will be officially closed and the first batch of goods will enter the zone".
