At the Start of winter, the river section of Hanyangping Village (Wuyanquan Town,Yidu) of Qingjiang River was bathed in warm sunshine and the water here is lucid. The national first-class protected animals, the Chinese mergansers, are playing in groups on the water. This is the 9th consecutive winter for their stay in Yidu. With the continuous optimization of the ecological environment in Yidu, the water quality of Qingjiang River has remained above Class II all the year round. With comfortable climate and rich water resources, many migratory birds such as Chinese merganser choose Yidu as their wintering sites for many years.
