According to the Three Gorges Navigation Authority on December 22, the three ship locks of Gezhou Dam had been under centralized control for one year till 18:00 on December 14, with a total of more than 17000 safe operations. The number of ships through three locks is more than 45000, with a year-on-year increase of 1%, and the freight volume through them is 155 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 7.55%. The centralized control operation of the three ship locks of Gezhou Dam was officially launched on December 15, 2021, and the locks of Gezhou Dam stepped into a new centralized operation stage of “Three Locks with One Control System” from the traditional separately-controlled mode.
