　　The opening ceremony of the First Yichang Longsnout Catfish Festival was held in Xiba on May 19.

　　Yichang was named “Longsnout Catfish City” by the China Cuisine Association at the opening ceremony. Lasting from May 19 to 20, the festival included enjoyable activities such as the Longsnout Catfish Banquet, the “Yichang-Jingzhou-Jingmen Metropolitan Coordinating Region” Food Carnival, the Yichang Longsnout Catfish Market, the Yichang Agricultural Products Exhibition, the Float Parade, and the 520 Music Festival.

　　As one of the important activities during the 2023 Yichang Promotion Week, the festival is committed to telling good stories of the longsnout catfish so as to promote its culture and make it known as a famous brand in the country and even in the world. (Reporter/Zhao Jingyi)
