Currently, the harvest season has arrived for the 333 hectares of ratoon rice in Dangyang city. The large harvesters, in Qianjin village, Herong town, are operating at full capacity in the rice fields, separating the grains from the rice ears for storage. The local area has adopted an order-based planting model, ensuring a market for the rice while it is still in the field. It is reported that the first crop yield of the ratoon rice has reached about 9,000 kilograms per hectare, while the second crop can yield 3,750 kilograms per hectare.
