From Dec. 23 to Dec. 25, the Hubei Skiing Contest (Wufeng Station) of the Second Hubei Landscape Mass Sports Season and the skiing open match of the First Yichang Public Ice and Snow Season was held in Wufeng International Ski Resort.

　　The match included the competition session and the session of fun games, the former consisting of snowboard slalom and alpine skiing slalom and the latter snow dragon boat race and tug of war, snow relay race and biathlon. Nearly 300 athletes and 2000 ice-and-snow sports enthusiasts participated in the skiing event.

　　Wufeng International Ski Resort covers an area of 400,000 square meters with ski slopes of various levels and a snow entertainment area of 20,000 square meters. Now, the ice and snow economy has become the new driving force of Wufeng's tourism industry, and the county has received a total of 4.137 million tourists, a year-on-year rise of 27.88%, achieving a comprehensive tourism revenue of 4.521 billion yuan, a year-on-year rise of 70.93%.
