　　Yichang will continue to advance water supply systems in rural areas to improve long-term management and maintenance, as informed at the recent 2024 Yichang Rural Water Supply Advancement Conference. By the end of 2024, 20 water quality improvement projects are to be completed, with the tap water coverage rate increasing to over 94.5%. Moreover, large-scale water supply projects (rural water supply projects with a designed daily water supply of over 1,000 cubic meters or a designed population served of over 10,000 people) are anticipated to cover more than 75% of the population.
