The main structure of “The Gate on the Three Gorges”, Hubei Sanxia Resettlement Museum in Maoping Town, Zigui County, was completed on May 17. The next step is to decorate the museum and arrange the exhibits. The museum is the first historical medium-sized museum in Hubei Province covering the themes of resettlement, culture and natural landscape of the Three Gorges areas. With a total construction area of 13,000 square meters, the museum will undertake the functions of demonstrating the resettlement induced by the construction of the Three Gorges Project, collecting and preserving resettlement-related works, conducting academic research, educating the public, and receiving tourists.
