On August 10, Sanxia Qingzhou 1 (the Three Gorges Hydrogen Boat No.1) sailed through the Letianxi section of the Xiling Gorge in Yiling District to inspect the navigation conditions of the Yangtze River between the Three Gorges Dam and the Gezhouba Dam. As China’s first hydrogen fuel cell power demonstration ship, it primarily serves the Three Gorges Reservoir area and is utilized for transportation, patrols, and emergency responses in the section of the Yangtze River between the Two Dams. Compared to traditional fuel-powered ships, it is expected to annually substitute 103.16 tons of fuel and achieve the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by 343.67 tons, serving as a demonstration for accelerating green and low-carbon development in inland shipping.
