On the evening of August 19th, the year’s inaugural supermoon graced the heavens, serenading Yichang with clear skies that enabled the majority of the city to witness this awe-inspiring celestial phenomenon. A supermoon is the moon attains its fullest glory, generally called a “full moon” or “syzygy,” concurrently occupying its closest orbital position to Earth, known as the perigee.
