On October 22, the newly built caviar processing hub launched trial production in Qingjiang Sturgeon Valley of Yidu County. Constructed on a plot of over 2.3 hectares this June, the facility features a 100,000-grade clean room where 21 critical production steps are performed under surgery-grade hygiene standards.
According to the project team, the new facility enhances product quality while boosting annual output from 100 to 500 tons. This expansion will strengthen the supply capacity and competitiveness of Yichang caviar in the global high-end market, demonstrating both the capability and determination of China’s signature agricultural products to integrate into the world supply chain with top-tier standards and on a massive scale.
