On November 18, Yichang’s first intelligent sorting line for Jinqiu Sugar Tangerine officially went into operation at the Jiuqiu Fresh Citrus Cooperative in Yaqueling Town, Yiling District.

　　To date, Yichang has sold over 40% of its citrus harvest, with daily sales reaching 58,000 metric tons. The major varieties currently on the market include early and mid-season Satsuma mandarins, Zaohong and Newhall navel oranges, Jinqiu Sugar Tangerines and Ponkans.

　　In addition to domestic promotions, Yichang has been actively expanding into international markets. Its citrus products have now been exported to seven countries, including Russia and India, with a recent shipment dispatched to Russia via the Alataw Pass. To facilitate this trade, Yichang Customs has established a “green channel” for agricultural exports, providing priority inspection and other streamlined services.
