Recently, citrus processing workshops in Yangping Town, Yuan’an County, have been meticulously grading harvested fruits to achieve zero waste, maximizing utilization from peel to pulp.

　　Through refined processing and an extended industry chain, Yangping Town has diversified its citrus export channels. Premium-grade fruit, automatically sorted, was exported to Russia and Southeast Asia, while lower-grade fruit was supplied to local company Hubei Tangbencao Pharmaceutical CoLtdfor further processing into products such as dried tangerine peel, which were then sold to South Korea and Southeast Asia.Thanks to this model, Yangping’s citrus industry, supported by more than 2,533 hectares of orchards, hasgenerated an annual output value exceeding 100 million yuan and has boosted local farmers’ income by over 20 million yuan, serving as a powerful engine for the local economy.
